Kharaayo is a small, deliberate team building AI-native products and ventures from Birtamode, Nepal. We hire carefully and grow slowly — because the quality of the team is the company.
The honest version.
Kharaayo is a Year-2 venture studio. That means the company is small, the work is varied, and the environment is closer to “founding team” than “established employer.” There is real creative and technical work to do on real products. There are also days that are less structured than a larger company would be.
A few things that are true about working here:
You will work on real things. Every project — client or own venture — ships to real users. There are no internal tools that exist purely to fill a CV. The work goes live and you see the results.
The team is small and senior attention is real. Because the team is small, there is no layer of middle management between you and the people making decisions. That is both a feature and a constraint — more autonomy, and more responsibility, than most roles at this stage.
You will be expected to learn fast. Our clients are international and the technical bar is current — 2026 production stacks, not legacy systems. If you're comfortable learning on the job on a real codebase, this fits. If you need a very structured learning environment before contributing, it's honest to say this may not be the right moment.
Remote-first, Birtamode-rooted. Most of the team works from Birtamode and eastern Nepal. Some roles have a remote component, and international remote is available for some positions. We're transparent about location expectations per role.
The ProLeap pipeline runs through here. A meaningful proportion of the team came through ProLeap as learners, interns, or trainees. If you're not yet at the experience level for a direct-hire role, ProLeap is the structured path in — not a consolation option.
