A brand is not a logo.
It’s the reason people believe you.
We build brand systems — positioning, identity, voice, and the visual language that makes a company unmistakable. Strategy first. Always.

Strategy first. Visuals second. Always.
Most companies approach brand identity backwards. They start with a logo, pick some colors, choose a font, and call it done. Then they wonder why the brand doesn’t travel — why it looks fine in isolation but loses coherence across a pitch deck, a website, a social post, and a product interface.
The logo is the last thing we design. What we build first is the foundation it rests on.
Brand Strategy
The foundation. Market positioning, competitive differentiation, target audience definition, brand architecture, and the core brand idea — the single concept everything else expresses.
Deliverable: Brand Strategy Document
Brand Narrative & Voice
The story and the language. Brand story, messaging hierarchy (3 seconds, 30 seconds, 3 minutes), tagline or brand line, and a voice and tone guide that defines how the brand writes and speaks in any context.
Deliverable: Narrative & Voice Guide
Visual Identity System
The visual expression. Logo system, color palette, typography system, imagery and photography direction, iconography style, and grid/layout principles.
Deliverable: Visual Identity System files (source + export)
Brand Guidelines
The operational document. How to use every element of the brand correctly — and what not to do. Built for a distributed team and external partners who make on-brand assets without a designer in the room.
Deliverable: Brand Guidelines (PDF + digital-first)
Applied Brand Expressions
Brand applied to real contexts: pitch deck template, email signature, social profile systems, document templates, and product-specific applications. The system in practice, not just in theory.
Deliverable: Application set (scope per engagement)
When these five things are aligned, the brand works. It travels. It compounds. It builds recognition over time without extra effort. When any one is missing, the whole thing leaks.
Not every engagement requires all five layers. The Brand Sprint produces Layers 1 and 2. A full identity engagement produces all five. The right scope is determined at the Brand Sprint — after the strategy is clear.
Recognize your situation.
Brand identity work takes different forms depending on where you are. These are the four situations we most often work with.
The Assembled Brand
You have a logo from a freelancer, colors picked to match the logo, and copy written in a hurry when you needed a website. It functions. It doesn’t represent who you are.
What you need: A brand built from the positioning up — starting with who you are, who you’re for, and why it matters.
The Outdated Brand
You built the brand for the first version of the company. Since then the product has matured, the market has shifted, you’ve raised a round. The brand is a version of you from two years ago.
What you need: A rebrand grounded in what the company actually is today — carrying what’s worth keeping and rebuilding what isn’t.
The Invisible Brand
You’re in a category where everyone looks the same — blue-and-white B2B SaaS, generic AI startup visual language, “clean and minimal” that blends into the background. Your brand could belong to any competitor.
What you need: Differentiation. A brand with a point of view — opinionated enough to attract the right people and repel the wrong ones.
The New Brand
You’re building something new and want to get the brand right from the start. The brand you launch with shapes early investor and customer perception in ways that are expensive to undo later.
What you need: A launch-ready brand system that can grow with the company — strong enough for investor scrutiny, flexible enough to evolve.
Not sure which situation is yours? That’s what the Brand Sprint is for. It starts with a diagnostic before any creative work begins.
We’ve built brands under real pressure.
Most branding studios work from the outside. They interview the founders, run their process, deliver the system, and move on. They never find out whether the brand held up in the first investor meeting.
We find out, because we’ve lived it.
Kharaayo Studio has built and evolved the brands for Kharaayo’s own ventures — ProLeap, Agenhost, Vetyo. We’ve watched those brands go from a first draft to a pitch deck to a real market. We’ve learned which brand choices compound over time and which ones need to be unwound early. We’ve felt the difference between a positioning statement that generates recognition and one that generates polite confusion.
That experience changes how we build brands for clients. We know what an investor reads in a brand — the signals that say “these founders understand who they are” versus “this is a deck that looks professional.” We know what an enterprise buyer scans for in a first impression. We know what a team member feels when they have a brand they’re proud to represent.
We bring that inside knowledge to every client engagement. It is not the only reason to work with Kharaayo Studio. But it is the reason no purely external branding agency can replicate our perspective — no matter how talented they are.
Every engagement begins with a Brand Sprint.
Before any visual work begins — before a single color is chosen or a font is tested — we need to understand what the brand is actually for. The Brand Sprint is a focused 2-week engagement that builds the strategic foundation your visual identity will rest on.
Discovery & Definition
We run a structured series of working sessions with you (founder, CMO, or relevant stakeholders) to map your market position, articulate your differentiation, define your audiences, and surface the core brand idea. We read your existing brand, your competitors, your market category, and your product. We listen more than we present.
Strategy & Narrative
We produce and refine the strategic output: positioning statement, brand story, messaging hierarchy, tagline direction, and voice principles. You review, we refine, we align.
Brand Sprint fee: [PLACEHOLDER — confirm with Daniel. Typical market range for a strategy-only sprint: $3,500–$7,000.]
What you receive at the end
- Brand Positioning Document — market position, differentiation, audience definition, and core brand idea, in one portable document
- Brand Narrative — your brand story, origin, and belief system in its clearest form
- Messaging Hierarchy — what you say in 3 seconds, 30 seconds, and 3 minutes, for each key audience
- Voice & Tone Principles — how the brand writes and speaks, with examples
- Visual Identity Direction — a strategic brief for the visual work: what it must feel like, what it must avoid, what it needs to do
The Brand Sprint is a paid engagement. It is fully complete as a standalone. If you’re not sure whether you need a full visual identity or just a strategy foundation, the Brand Sprint gives you both the output and the clarity to decide. Most clients proceed to the visual identity engagement — but the decision is yours after you’ve seen the strategy, not before.
From sprint to system.
Brand Sprint2 weeks, fixed fee
Strategy foundation. Output: Brand Positioning Document, Brand Narrative, Messaging Hierarchy, Voice & Tone, Visual Identity Direction. Required before visual work begins.
Visual Identity Development3–5 weeks
With the strategic brief from the Sprint as the creative brief, we develop the visual identity. Three distinct creative directions presented in Week 1 of this phase — different interpretations of the same strategic foundation, not three logo options. You choose a direction. We develop it fully.
Output: logo system, color palette, typography system, imagery direction, iconography.
Brand Guidelines & Application1–2 weeks
The identity system is documented and applied. Brand guidelines produced. Application set delivered (scope agreed in Phase 1 — typically pitch deck template, social profile systems, email signature, document template).
Output: Brand Guidelines document, Application file set, source files in all formats.
Optional: Creative Retainer
For clients who want ongoing creative output — content, campaign assets, product marketing, motion — after the identity is built, a Creative Retainer keeps the Studio team on the brand.
Brand Sprint is fixed-fee. Visual Identity and Guidelines are fixed-fee, scoped after the Sprint. Total for Brand Sprint + full identity system typically runs [PLACEHOLDER — confirm range with Daniel].
